| Chaweng Beach - Koh Samui |
Your trip to Koh Samui is an opportunity to try many local
favorites from the food of Thailand. For some, Chaweng Beach's roving
food vendors are an annoyance. For others they are a chance to sample
some of the local cuisine without leaving their beach blanket. Grilled
corn on the cob, pounded payaya salad with grilled chicken and Thai sticky
rice, and even satays with peanut sauce, are some of the fare you may
be offered. Bear in mind the hygiene standards of these food sellers,
who spend hours with their wares in the hot sun, are of a lower standard
than the many beachside restaurants. There, on a shady wooden porch, you
can enjoy a lunch of Pad Thai or one of your other favorite Thai snacks,
washed down by a local beer.
